For all sport lovers the Alta Langa offers lots of a vast range of different attractions.


There are very good and famous cycling routes like the Salite dei Campione which can be ridden in one or divided into 6 different smaller routes. Cycling is a very popular pastime in this region especially at weekends where the rolling hills provide the cyclist with fantastic views at all times of the year.


The nearest Golf clubs are approx 45 minutes from the house. As Gagliassi Gold club della Langhe, at Monforte d´Alba and Sportiva Gold Club at Cherasco.               


Horse riding

Only 20 minutes away, in Bossolasco is a riding place with very well kept horses of all sizes. They also have all the neccesary equipment to enjoy long rides through the countryside.   



We are approximately 45 minutes from the nearest ski area which lies in the upper Val Maudagna, in  the heart of the Maritime Alps. These are the resorts of Prato Nevoso, Artesina and Frabosa. They are connected to the Mondole Ski area, where you can ski without having to take your skis off. Artesina lies at 1,500 m and Prato Nevosa 1.300m. Because of their close distance from the sea they enjoy a micro climate and have short heavy snowfalls, so there is generally plenty of snow. There are over 130 km of runs for all standards of skiers. There are also 3 cross country ski runs just 4 km away from Sale San Giovanni. They are well prepared and it is also possible to hire snow shoes and trekking equipment.


Only 15 Minutes away, in San Benedetto Belbo is a large lake with a Pizzeria / Restaurant. Here you can go fishing and afterwards enjoy a nice meal.


Not far away are the Italian Alps where you can go mountain climbing and trekking.

The area itself offers also a lot of good pathways which invariably lead to small farms where you can stop for a rest and taste the local produced products.


The seaside of Savona is just 45 Km away. Here you can enjoy a day at the wonderful beach of Noli or Finale ligurie, Enjoy freshly caught fish in one of the seaside restaurants or discover the little shops in the medieval villages.


For sightseeing you can visit the famous cities Torino, Alba, Bra or Saluzzo - all reachable in a relaxed daytrip. They are full of museums, history and of course good restaurants which are famous for their slow food.
